Andrew Burnell
Andrew is currently the Managing Director of City Health Care Partnership (CHCP) which is the arms length Provider Services for the Primary Care Trust in Hull.
After starting his career as a Registered General Nurse, RMN and RHV, Andrew enjoyed numerous NHS clinical and managerial positions before progressing to the Northern and Yorkshire Regional Office and the Department of Health in Leeds.
Andrew then became the Director of Primary Health Care Services and Nursing in West Hull PCT. Following the reconfiguration of PCT’s through Commissioning a Patient Led NHS, Andrew was successful in gaining the post of Director of Provider Services and Nursing the post which led to his appointment as Managing Director.
The team at CHCP have been working as DH pathfinder for the externalisation of the current services into a Social Enterprise Community Interest Company (CIC) since early 2006.
